50 Shades of Music

I have fallen....
hard and fast for a new source of inspiration.
The one and only Miyavi!

So this post will be about my personal love affair with music through the tears, oooops I meant years!
Freudian slip or typo?!

What I saw, who I loved, who inspired me.

Not necessarily me here about
 the decision making......just sayin!!!

My love affair

I was born in 1964.
I have loved music quite literally since I was born.
Back in the day my parents would put me in the bassinet in the coat room while they danced.
They were such great dancers, they won contests!

They even showed me once,
danced right in the kitchen just for me!
 It was wonderful.
Can you even imagine the music to which I had  been exposed?

And then came...
Freestyle Dancing (1964)

Here is sex symbol Jayne Mansfield at the
Whiskey a Go-Go

I could totally see my Mom doing this!
Ooooooh
♥ the dresses, the hair styles ♥

Now I have grown some and found myself very intrigued with tutu's and the magnificent art of Ballet.
My parents had this album
with four photos of a couple dancing together.
She was in her tutu and he in his leotard.
I would listen to the music and dance around pretending to be like that pretty woman on the cover!

I will say the music could have been Swan Lake,
this is my Mother's favorite Ballet

Riana, you will love this music ♥

Reminiscent of the Album cover that I could not find  :)

Then came the first love of my life
♥ Michael Jackson
I had never heard such a beautiful voice in my little life.
We took a trip to Switzerland.
I would never be without my tape recorder at my side which of course had Michael's cassette in it!
I would lay my ear on the speaker so his voice would be as close to me as possible.
Quite like right now with the ear buds in my ears!

My favorite album when I was little

Speaking of Switzerland, my Mother is from Basel.
This town has it's yearly festival, The Basler Fasnacht.
The creativity is second to none,
Just wait until you see those masks!!!

The sights and sounds that I remember as a child

But this is more like what I would have seen

We love you Bob Marley
Your music lives on, always has and always will!

I remember when my Dad came home and said,
'OK kids if I were to get a vacation home,
where would you want it to be?'
Vermont or Cape Cod and we all exclaimed 'CAPE COD!!!!'

So that's what we did ♥

I came here everyday to fish from the jetty behind us ;)
And swim of course.

On a side note,
when we went to my Grandma's one day,
we found an old portable record player with some old 45's.
I remember bringing it with me to the Cape.
My sister and brother had fun listening to these two old beauties.

...as we liked to call it, lol!

Then we got a REAL kick out of this one!!!

Now I am beginning to become a young adult.
We went to Switzerland once again.

I had this beautiful blonde hair blue eyed cousin
whom I simply adored, Cristoph.
He taught me about Pink Floyd.

That was an experience to say the least!

  Takamasa Ishihara
aka
Miyavi

I find this man to be completely enthralling.

The music to which I have been exposed and
the music that I love has lead me to this amazing artist.

I feel that he is a creative genius, a truly soulful musician,
and a complete work of art.

My absolute favorite right now!!!

In closing, I just can not help but love
this artist for his tremendous talent
and contribution to music.
He is completely incredible to me.
He has developed his own
unique style of playing,
 after experimenting with many
genres throughout his career.
He has created his own genre.

His guitar is his bass.

That is pretty freakin AWESOME!

Miyavi never stops evolving.
He will come down in history
for being a creative genius.

As I have tried to show here in this post,
he likes to remain trendsetting and
special with his own
phenomenal personal style.
This artist just shines,
and not for these aspects alone,
 Miyavi has a message.

In his own words he says,

'We are one through music, we can unite'

He is just magnificent

Unity

Peace
Love

OK That's all I got ♥
